The "Time-Out Room" equipped with specially designed padding elements provides a safe space for individuals with mental or emotional challenges to prevent harm to themselves or others during uncontrollable episodes of aggression. This innovation serves to remove the person from an overly stimulating environment, allowing them to regain composure and reflect on their behavior, without the intention of confinement or restricting freedom. The practice of using a time-out space is particularly effective in managing behavioral disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

The room's walls and doors are lined with 7.5 cm thick foam padding, ensuring robust protection. Additionally, the doors are fitted with apertures for peepholes. Windows and radiators are safeguarded with custom-made grilles comprising a steel framework and foam-lined wooden slats. To prevent injuries from falls, the floor is covered with a 10 cm thick composite foam mat. The covering of the mat is made from Duraskin, a flame-retardant and liquid-repellent material (100% polyester).

For Time-Out Rooms, we solely use premium materials, including flame-resistant covers compliant with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, featuring particularly robust seams and mats with a firm foam core (RG 30/50). The 75 mm thick wall mats are mounted on a solid wooden structure and are screwed to the walls for enhanced safety.

The flooring consists of sturdy 100 mm thick composite foam mats. Windows and heaters are encased with a padded grille construction.

Please note, due to manufacturing processes, gap sizes up to 1 cm can occur but do not affect the use or safety of the product. Light creasing in the covers may result from pressing in the floor mats, a process which minimizes gap sizes and ensures the mat's stable positioning.

It's important to note that a Time-Out Room does not guarantee against the possibility of self-inflicted injuries. Thus, it is strictly advised never to leave the room unattended during use. Supervision can be maintained through an observation window, a door peephole, or a camera system.
