The Sport-Thieme "Club" beach volleyball set: one set – with everything that you need!
The Sport-Thieme "Club" beach volleyball set contains everything that you need for the outdoor game: beach volleyball posts, ground sockets and a beach volleyball net. The posts are made from steel and have a diameter of 83 mm. 2 comb-shaped bars with rounded teeth pointing inwards are welded onto each post. By moving the snap hooks over the teeth, the net height can be adjusted in stages without detaching the net. Simply loosen the net line, position the snap hook at the desired height and retension the net. This means the men's playing height (2.43 m), women's playing height (2.24 m) and several other heights can easily be set. The adjustment range is approx. 50 cm.
Our advice for the foundations:
The insertion depth into the ground sockets is 35 cm. The foundations for the sockets should be approx. 80x80x80 cm in natural ground, or approx. 100x100x100 cm in backfilled, light ground.

The dimensions of a beach volleyball court
Court size: The actual size of the playing area is 16x8 m. To increase the rhythm of the game, the FIVB decided in 1999 to reduce the dimensions of the court from the 18x9 m indoor size to 16x8 m.
According to the FIVB, the free area around the sidelines for official international competitions must be a minimum of 5 m and a maximum of 6 m. For recreational games, a minimum of 3 m is sufficient.
Where several courts are set up next to one another, there should be a distance of 4 m between the sidelines, so that several groups can play at the same time without obstructing each other.
There should be at least 7 m of free space available above the court. The free space for official international competitions must be a minimum of 12.5 m, measuring from the playing surface.
Net height: the official net height varies depending on gender. The net is vertical above the centre line, with its upper edge at a height of 2.43 m for men and 2.24 m for women. The net height also varies for the following age categories:
16 years and below – boys and girls 2.24 m
14 years and below – boys and girls 2.12 m
12 years and below – boys and girls 2.00 m
Post distance: the distance between posts is 10 m (16x8 m) and 11 m (18x9 m). The posts must be placed on both sides at the same distance from the sideline. The permitted distance is 0.7-1.0 m from sideline to the posts' padding.
The net, when tensioned, is 8.5 m wide (16x8 m) or 9.5 m (18x9 m) respectively and is 1 m high (± 3 cm).
