Kin-Ball is the only sport in the world in which three teams compete against each other simultaneously. The game is played on a court of approx. 21×21 metres using a giant soft ball. Each team is made up of four players, who are identified with different bibs or armbands. One team is in possession of the ball at the start of each period and serves. This is done by three players kneeling under the ball and holding it up. The fourth player then designates the team to catch the ball before serving it by shouting out "Omnikin" and the colour of the selected team. The aim of the game is to throw the Kin-Ball in such a way that the team called out is unable to catch it before it touches the ground. If they manage to catch and control the ball, then they get to serve.
