Pertra Educational Toys

The set includes over 2,300 building blocks and modules that can be combined for a multitude of different exercises.

The Pertra educational toys are based on the concept by Marianne Frostig and are consistently further developed to include new findings on child development.

The range of Pertra educational toys currently includes 7 boxes for the development of the following areas:

• Sensorimotor skills (manual dexterity)
• Language (concept formation)
• Visual perception (relating to skills required at school)
• Higher cognitive processes (memory, deductive and inductive reasoning)

The individual areas are promoted in an activity-oriented manner. If the therapist or educator adopts the humanistic attitude of the Frostig concept, the exercises also develop the child’s social and emotional competence. In addition to the task-oriented applications based on recent development models, the Pertra educational toys can also be used to boost creativity and imagination.
