The ball is easier to control thanks to the reduced bounce, giving the player better ball control.

They are reduced-pressure, reduced-bounce footballs which lie close to the foot. The playing field is 40x20 m in size and has no lines. 2 teams of 5 players compete against one another for 2 halves each lasting 20 minutes, trying to get the ball into the opposing team's goal. Futsal was developed in Uruguay as a school sport and nowadays it is FIFA's official version of indoor football. The sport is already popular in South America, Southern Europe and Eastern Europe, and is partially organised into professional leagues. Futsal is becoming more and more popular in Germany.
