Race control function
This function was designed to record a competition and to analyse it during the race. Target times and number of laps/lengths to be completed can be programmed. In a competition, individual lap/length times are timed. The watch displays the difference between the actual lap time and the programmed lap time on the top line The programmed lap time is the target time divided by the number of laps/lengths.
Swimming examples:
100 metres freestyle with a target time 59.00 seconds in a 25-metre pool.
The time of 59.00 seconds and the number 4 for the lengths are saved by the watch. The watch calculates the average target time for one length as 14.75 seconds.
The first interval time after 25 metres is measured at 14.50 seconds. On the top line, the watch displays the difference to the target time of -0.25 seconds. The lap time is displayed on the middle line, and the bottom line displays the elapsed time.
The second length is measured at 14.70 seconds. The difference to the target time is displayed as -0.20, 14.70 seconds is displayed as the present lap time.
The third length is stopped at 15.00 seconds. The difference to the target time is displayed as +0.05 seconds, 15.00 seconds is displayed as the present lap time.
The fourth length is stopped at 15.30 seconds. The difference to the target time is displayed as +0.60, 15.30 is displayed as the present lap time and 59.60 as the end time.
All information can be saved in the watch and analysed later.
Exact: first-class pressure-point mechanics
The button pressure is relayed via an ingenious lever construction and triggers the electronic contact. Incorrect mechanical measurements can be ruled out in the long term.
Safe: locking the start/stop button
The start/stop button of StopTech watches can be locked. This prevents accidental stopping of the time measurement if the start/stop button has been pressed by mistake.
Easy: easy to change the battery
The watch has a separate battery compartment which can be opened and closed by using the "key" on the cord, making changing the battery quick and easy.
